Applications for the Erasmus Mundus EDUMAH scholarships are now open for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Organized by a consortium of five universities in Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Malta, the EDUMAH program aims to train the next generation of experts in Museum and Heritage Education. The program will select around 20 students of all nationalities and offer fully funded scholarships that include a monthly stipend of €1,400 for two years and a full tuition fee waiver. Applications are open from October 1, 2025 to January 23, 2026.

About the EDUMAH Program

The EDUMaH Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Museum and Heritage Education is a two-year, full-time joint degree that equips future museum and heritage professionals with the ability to navigate diverse cultural, economic, and political contexts relevant to 21st-century practice. The program includes internships, language courses, and at least three mobility periods across Europe.

Partner Universities

The EDUMAH program is jointly offered by five European universities:

  1. University of Glasgow – Scotland
  2. University of Tartu – Estonia
  3. University College Cork – Ireland
  4. University of Malta – Malta
  5. Radboud University – Netherlands

Degrees Awarded

Graduates of the EDUMAH Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s in Museum and Heritage Education receive a joint, double, or multiple degree, depending on their chosen mobility track.

EDUMAH Scholarship Benefits

Each EDUMAH Erasmus Mundus scholarship provides:

  • A monthly stipend of €1,400 for two years
  • Full tuition fee exemption

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the EDUMAH Erasmus Mundus scholarships, applicants must:

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree from an officially recognized institution worth at least 180 ECTS (or equivalent to four years of study). Final-year students may apply provided they complete their degree before August 2026.
  2. Have a strong academic background in history, art history, architecture, anthropology, archaeology, cultural studies, literature, linguistics, arts education, sociology, philosophy, or related fields.
  3. Demonstrate academic excellence and strong motivation.
  4. Provide proof of English language proficiency (minimum level B2).

How to Apply for the EDUMAH Program

Applications are submitted exclusively online via the official University of Glasgow portal:
https://uogapply.mycampus.gla.ac.uk.
The application deadline is January 23, 2026. Eligible applications are evaluated based on academic merit. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email and will receive guidance on visa procedures and enrolment.

Required Documents

All application documents must be submitted in English and include:

  • Completed application form
  • Curriculum Vitae (Europass format recommended)
  • Motivation letter (up to 1,000 words) explaining how your goals align with the program
  • Copy of passport (or national ID, if applicable)
  • Proof of residence (certificate of residence or employer/university attestation)
  • Bachelor’s degree diploma and official transcripts (with certified translation)
  • Two letters of recommendation, including referees’ contact details
  • English language certificate showing at least a B2 level
  • Any academic publications (with English abstract translation, if applicable)
