Scholarship Coverage and Benefits
Through a partnership between the Mastercard Foundation and Arizona State University, 40 graduate-level opportunities are available. Each scholarship provides full financial support, including:

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Meet ASU’s admission requirements
- Be an African citizen aged 18–33
- Demonstrate ethical leadership and community engagement
- Show a proven record of leadership, service, and academic excellence
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) obtained before July 2026
- Not have started or completed a master’s degree previously
- Be willing to reside in Rwanda for the full two-year duration of the program

The Mastercard Foundation scholarships at Arizona State University are available for five master’s programs focused on innovation and technology:

- Master’s in Sustainable Engineering – Innovative solutions to environmental challenges
