Applications for the prestigious Émile Boutmy Scholarship at Sciences Po are now open for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Created in honor of the school’s founder, this scholarship aims to attract the best international students and support their academic journey at one of France’s most renowned institutions. The program offers funding of up to €14,720, available for both Bachelor’s and Master’s studies.

Scholarship Amount and Duration
The Émile Boutmy Scholarship amounts vary depending on the level of study:
- Bachelor’s Degree: The scholarship offers several tiers:
- A tuition scholarship of €14,720 per year for three years of undergraduate study.
- A tuition scholarship of €9,500 per year for three years of undergraduate study.
- A tuition scholarship of €6,500 per year for three years of undergraduate study.
- Master’s Degree: The Émile Boutmy Scholarship provides €13,100 per year for two years of Master’s studies.
Please note that students who repeat a year or defer their admission will lose their scholarship permanently.
Additionally, during the third year abroad (undergraduate exchange year), scholarship recipients will retain their financial support.
Eligibility Criteria for the Émile Boutmy Scholarship
The scholarship is available to first-time applicants from outside the European Economic Area, whose family does not pay taxes within Europe, and who have been admitted to a degree program at either the Undergraduate College or the Master’s level.
Eligible Programs
Students admitted to the Undergraduate College and those pursuing a Master’s degree are eligible for the scholarship. However, some dual degree programs are not covered, except for select partnerships such as the dual degree with Fudan University (for Chinese applicants). One-year Master’s programs are not eligible.

Selection Criteria
The Émile Boutmy Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence and the fit of the applicant’s profile with their chosen program. In some cases, financial needs may also be considered to assess the candidate’s financial situation.

To apply for the Émile Boutmy Scholarship at Sciences Po, visit this link: https://admission.sciencespo.fr/. In your application to Sciences Po, select the Émile Boutmy Scholarship under the “Financial Information” section and provide the required details.
Please note that Sciences Po is not part of the “Études en France” procedure, so there is no need to apply separately via Campus France.

Restrictions
Students who have previously been denied the Émile Boutmy Scholarship are not eligible to apply again.
