King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) offers fully funded scholarships for its Master’s and PhD programs. All students admitted to KAUST will receive a scholarship that includes annual flights, tuition fees, accommodation, and a generous monthly allowance. The deadline to apply is October 1, 2024.

KAUST is a private, international university dedicated to advanced-level research, located on the shores of the Red Sea, about an hour from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It ranks among the top 100 global universities in several disciplines, including petroleum engineering (21st globally), chemistry (60th), and mathematics (138th).

Amount of the KAUST Scholarships

All admitted students to the Master’s or PhD programs at KAUST will receive scholarships with the following benefits:

  • Exemption from tuition fees.
  • A monthly stipend with an annual total between $20,000 and $30,000, depending on qualifications and study progress.
  • On-campus accommodation.
  • Medical and dental coverage.
  • Relocation assistance.

Eligibility Criteria for KAUST Scholarships

To be eligible for KAUST scholarships, applicants must have an excellent academic record and a strong interest in scientific research.

Application Deadlines for KAUST

  • Deadline for Spring 2025 semester: October 1, 2024.
  • Deadline for Fall 2025 semester: January 11, 2025.

Admission Process at KAUST

All students admitted to KAUST receive the scholarship. Admission to KAUST is competitive and can be done via the following link: https://admissions.kaust.edu.sa/

There is no application fee.

The following documents are required:

  1. A scanned copy of the official transcript provided by the university in the native language with a certified English translation.
  2. A resume detailing your professional experience, research background, and any other relevant information.
  3. A statement of purpose (750 words) describing your previous work, preparation for the intended field of study, relevant background, academic plans, and career goals. Explain why you are applying to the particular KAUST program you wish to join.
  4. Three letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf.
  5. English proficiency test results.
  6. GRE (optional).
