Applications for the ENS Paris International Selection Scholarship program are now open for the 2025/26 academic year. The deadline to apply is December 12, 2024.
The ENS Paris’s International Selection is a prestigious competition aimed at students enrolled in a foreign university and pursuing an undergraduate program. This competition is open to students from both humanities and scientific disciplines. Each year, ENS Paris offers 10 spots for science students and 10 spots for humanities students.

Structure of the ENS International Selection Competition
The ENS International Selection competition consists of two phases:
- Application review based on submitted documents;
- Written and oral exams (Humanities) or oral exams only (Sciences).
Scholarship Amount
The ENS International Selection scholarships include a monthly stipend of €1,000 per month for 36 months as well as accommodation on one of ENS’s campuses.
Upon completion of the program, recipients will earn both an ENS diploma and a master’s degree, enhancing their academic and professional trajectories.
Eligibility Criteria
- Apply before reaching your 26th birthday.
- Apply to the ENS International Selection for the first time.
- Have not resided in France for more than 10 months during the application year and the preceding year.
- Demonstrate the completion of at least one academic year abroad (outside France) in the calendar year preceding the application period.
- By September 1st following the admission jury, have completed at least two years of higher education abroad (outside France).
- For humanities studies, a good command of French is recommended (minimum B1 level). For scientific studies, no language proficiency is required.

- Programs offered by the ENS International Selection Sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Geosciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Cognitive Sciences.
- Programs offered by the ENS International Selection Humanities: Anthropology, Archaeology, Classical Studies (Greek, Latin), Film Studies, Theatre Studies, Art History, Musicology, Cognitive Sciences, Economics, Political Studies, Geography, Law History and Philosophy, Science History and Philosophy, Linguistics (Language Sciences), Literature, Philosophy, Sociology.

Applications for the ENS International Selection program are open from October 17 to December 12, 2024. Applications must be submitted online via this link: https://candidatures.ens.psl.eu/.
