About the Chevening 2025 Scholarships
DEADLINE: August 6 to November 5, 2024.
LEVEL OF STUDY: Master’s degree.
OPEN TO: 160 countries.
FUNDING: Fully funded.
DURATION: One year.
COUNTRY: United Kingdom.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Chevening Scholarship, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of one of the eligible countries or territories (download the list of eligible countries).
- Be committed to returning to your home country and residing there for at least two years after your studies.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Have at least two years of work experience (equivalent to 2,800 hours).
- By July 11, 2025, you must apply to and receive an unconditional offer from a UK university.
The types of work experience that qualify for the Chevening Scholarship include:
- Any full-time employment.
- Part-time work experience.
- Volunteer work.
- Paid or unpaid internships.

Chevening Scholarship Benefits
Chevening Scholarships provide the opportunity to pursue a one-year Master’s degree at any university in the United Kingdom. The scholarship covers all tuition fees, and you’ll also receive a monthly stipend for living expenses, a round-trip airfare, and additional allowances for visa and vaccination costs.
Eligible Master’s Courses
The Chevening program doesn’t handle the placement process for you. You’ll need to research, apply, and secure admission to the academic programs of your choice independently.
There are several well-known websites where you can find most Master’s programs in the UK: postgrad.com, findamasters.com, or mastersportal.com. These platforms offer extensive databases of Master’s programs, making it easy to find the courses that suit your interests and goals.

How to Apply for the Chevening Scholarship?
To apply for the British Government’s Chevening Scholarships, submit your application through this link: https://asams.chevening.org/apply.
The Chevening program gives you the flexibility to choose three different options. These can include three distinct courses at a single institution or three similar courses at up to three different universities.
The deadline to apply for the 2025 Chevening Scholarship is November 5, 2024. To remain eligible, you must receive an unconditional offer from one of your chosen courses by July 11, 2025. If you do not receive an offer by this date, you will no longer be eligible for the scholarship, even if you receive an offer afterward.
